How the ideas began born from my culture and upbringing as a third generation Mexican American born and raised in Southern California. I tend to always find a way to bring back my heritage into my work. Here I married the art movement El Movimiento with something I enjoy the Fluxus art movement.

El Movimiento is a very straight forward and political in the sense it began by dealing with and advocating problems that had been left unchecked. People began speaking out against the atrocities that were occurring in their community. Fluxus on the other hand had a whimsical nature to it. In spite of that they both can overlap in core ideas quite a lot. By combining aspects and principles of the two into contemporary space I am allowed to enjoy to explore my heritage and culture while bringing art and design to the masses.
